Dr. Howard Berg (center) attended Loyola College in Baltimore and received his Bachelor of Arts in History from University of Maryland, College Park in 1967. He graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1971. From 1971-1973, he was stationed at the USAF Hospital in Tachihawa, Japan for his Dental Internship. Dr. Berg received his pediatric dentistry training at Boston University, where he also received a MSD degree in 1975. Dr. Berg is most proud of his marriage to Diane since 1975 and their greatest successes are their children, Mike and Jamie.
Dr. Scott M. Lawrence (left) received a Bachelor of Science degree in Math/Biology from Wake Forest University in 1983. He graduated from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1987. Dr. Lawrence received his certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from Columbus Children’s Hospital along with a Master’s Degree in Pediatric Dentistry from The Ohio Sate University in 1989. He married his wife, Kathy, in 1987. Dr. Lawrence has two boys, Brent and Joseph. His interests include running, biking, swimming and spending time with his family.
Dr. Jen-Fan Weng (right) graduated from Loyola College in Baltimore in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She is a 1993 graduate of the University of Maryland Dental School. Dr. Weng then completed her three-year pediatric dental specialty training at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh/University of Pittsburgh. She has been practicing in Maryland since 1996 and joined Drs. Berg and Lawrence in 2001. Dr. Weng lives with her husband, Thomas Goebel, PhD, in University Park. They enjoy traveling, cooking and attending cultural events.
